Anyone who would like to become a foster family for a dog or cat, we sure could use your assistance.
Several friends of animals ran current information in the Fairbanks Daily Newsminer on the number of animals taken in by the Fairbanks North Star Borough Animal Control to inform the public of the actual numbers of unwanted pets that are killed. This effort is part of the education process to demonstrate the need for spaying and neutering to help reduce that number. This is publlic information, and the public needs to know of the problem that exists and the total number of helpless animals that pay the price with their lives. Be informed, help solve the problem, join the fight to change this situation.
We are looking for sponsors for the SNIP program, and corporate sponsors for SAVE THE Pets, a full range pet care/adoption complex that will feature a training center, medical center, an education office and a large on site no kill shelter. This complex will serve not only the interior area of Alaska but include the Far North areas of Alaska. Give the pets an alternative, give them a chance to live, be retrained, rehomed and find a new loving family. There is a better way than killing, let us help them. Please join us in our efforts, Thank you.
